The short version
AltZ.biz is run by AltZ. We collect as little as we can get away with, we do not sell anything about you, and you can have what we hold deleted by sending one email, apart from testimonials we have published, which this page explains. Analytics stays off until you allow it.
What we collect
- When you send a testimonial: the name you want shown, which AltZ site it is about, a line describing you if you add one, and the testimonial itself, with the email address and account ID of the account you signed in with. We keep it so we can decide whether to publish it and reply to you.
- When you sign in: your name, email address and profile picture, as Google gives them to us. Signing in is with Google and nothing else — there is no password for us to hold, and we never see your Google credentials.
- If you allow analytics: which pages you viewed and roughly where in the world you are, through Google Analytics. This is not linked to your account.
One account across AltZ
Every AltZ site signs you in against the same account, so you are the same person on altz.coach as on altz.training and your course progress follows you. That is deliberate: without it, reading a course on one site and continuing it on another would silently split your progress in two.
The practical consequence is that your account is shared across the sites rather than duplicated, and deleting it deletes it everywhere.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
It is processed by Google, whose infrastructure the sites run on: Firebase and Google Cloud for hosting and storage, Google Authentication for signing in, reCAPTCHA for keeping bots out of the testimonial form, and Google Analytics if you allow it.
Where it is stored
In the United States. If you are reading this from elsewhere, that is where anything you send us is kept, and where it is processed.
How long we keep it
Your account and anything attached to it are kept until you ask us to delete them. A testimonial you sent and we have not published is kept until we publish it, decline it, or you ask us to delete it. One we return to you for modification is deleted, with our reason and note, within 30 days of the return, unless you send it back by the date your testimonials page shows. A published one is kept on the site until you ask us to take it down. Analytics is retained on Google’s default schedule.
Your rights
Wherever you live, and regardless of which law applies to you, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it, apart from what this page says we keep;
- stop using it for analytics — which you can do yourself, at any time, from the cookies page.
Email support@altz.biz. We do not charge for any of this and we will not make you create an account to ask.
You can also do the deletion half yourself: the account page has a download of what this site holds about you, and a button asking this site to forget you. A testimonial we have published is not in the download and is not deleted by the button: it is public, and the testimonials section below says how to take it down. That covers this site’s data — your AltZ sign-in is shared across every AltZ site and keeps working. To remove the sign-in itself, everywhere, email the address above.
Testimonials we publish
A testimonial is published only after a person at AltZ has read it and chosen to publish it, and only with the permission you gave when you sent it. Once published it is a public statement, shown with the name you entered, on altz.biz and on the AltZ site it is about.
Asking us to delete your data deletes a testimonial we have not published, and leaves a published one on the site. After that, the only thing we still hold about it is what is already on the page: we remove your email address and account ID from the record.
To take a published testimonial down, email support@altz.biz and say which one. We do it on request, without asking why, and the page stops showing it. We do not edit a testimonial, before or after publishing: it appears as you wrote it or not at all. If one needs a modification before we can publish it, we return it to you with a note, and you make the modification.
Children
These sites are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything about children. If you believe a child has given us information, email the address above and we will remove it.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit and data is encrypted at rest by Google Cloud. Access to the databases is restricted to the site backends and to the people who run AltZ. No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or what we do with it, we will change the date at the top and, where the change is significant, ask again for any consent that depends on it.
